North America continent is a continent entirely within the Northern Hemisphere and almost all within the Western Hemisphere.


It is also considered as the part of northern subcontinent of the Americas.


North America continent is the World’s third-largest continent  and 24,474,000 km² covering approximately 16.5% of the Earth’s land and 5% of the Earth’s surface.


The Atlantic Ocean to the east is the borders of North America, and the Arctic Ocean to the north and the Pacific Ocean to the west too.


The eastern side of the continent is generally lower than the west which contains the Rocky mountains. The five Great Lakes lie on the United States Canadian border.

It’s also divided into four parts and that’s West, East, The Great Plains and The Canadian Shield.


American English is the most common language spoken in North America continent and as the second language, Spanish and French is commonly spoken in the USA, But Spanish is the first language in Central America and French is spoken also as first language in Canada.


Most of the North American people are Christians (75%), others are Muslims, Jews and most of the people have their own beliefs and they are equally free to practice their faith.


You’ll be amazed after knowing that North America in Canada has the longest and the first Skyscrapers which was built in USA in 1880s.


North America continent has been hosted to the Olympics twelve times. The first North American country to host the event was the US, in 1904.


North America continent is also considered as the most number of Olympic gold medal winners in the world.

Central America has the Savanna and tropical rainforest and in northern part like Canada and Alaska has Tundra and Ice cap in Greenland which is permanent.

Canada is slightly larger than the United States in area making it the second largest country by area in the world (after Russia).
